Rebecca Magnuson is a singer- songwriter, composer, concert pianist, and playwright.  As a child she was considered a child prodigy at the piano, and became the church pianist at her father’s church in Brooklyn, NY, in the third grade. At age 14, her family moved to Chautauqua, NY, and she received scholarships from the Chautauqua Women's Club in high school studying piano with Ozan Marsh, the now deceased world-renowned concert pianist, at the prestigious Chautauqua Institution for the Arts. Her experiences at Chautauqua helped to frame the trajectory of her life with music as her driving passion and career choice.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, Rebecca began teaching and concertizing. She eventually moved to Nashville, TN, where she first caught the attention of Bob Doyle, Garth Brooks’ long time business partner who signed her songs to Garth’s publishing company, Major Bob Music.  Since then, Rebecca’s songs have been signed with other publishers including Sony Nashville.  Rebecca’s catalog is now owned by She Sings® Publishing, one of the companies formed by Ms. Magnuson. She is a member of ASCAP, the Nashville Songwriter’s Association, The International Society of Female Professionals (lifetime and honorary), The Kennedy Center, The International Documentary Association, The National Music Teacher’s Association, and others. Rebecca has served on many boards while working extensively on behalf of victims of domestic violence with various organizations in the Washington, DC, Nashville, TN, and Los Angeles, CA, areas.

Rebecca wrote and produced her one-woman show, She Sings®, A Soaring Musical that premiered to sold-out audiences beginning in November of 2018 in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and off- Broadway in NYC. It has since been adapted to film, and is a 5-part documentary titled, She Sings®: Surviving the Narcissist.  The documentary series is expected to be released in 2024.

In April of 2019, Rebecca accepted a contract as a Delivery Service Partner with Amazon, and successfully ran her business in Northern Virginia until

February of 2022.  Magnuson Transport LLC received many awards from Amazon, but most notably, the Top Five Percent Worldwide award.

Of most importance to Ms. Magnuson is being mom to Grace and Gardner, the two joys of her life.
